We aid a number of projects each year - this is our Rumanian Orphanage Project in Csicsokeresztur.
This is a message from the Orphanage : If you would like to see some photos of the Orphanage - click here
Ten years ago we started our project in Csicsokeresztur in an old and bad house. We made from this house a home for our children.
There are nine years since we opened our doors for the children. They have not a lot of chances in their own houses , because as you well know more of them they have already dead sisters or brothers...
I want to say thank you because you were for such a long time our childrens benfactors and you were sponsorising us.
I would like to show my thanks with a little story and with a few photos about this 9 year.
Thank you for everyone.
May God bless you .
Jesus wacthes over us!
When I was an infant being separated from my mother terrified me. To be separated from your mother as a child means to be frightened, to feel anxiety and to see threatening shadow figures. When I was growing older I have enough courage to go a bit far from my mother without too much anxiety. Growing means sacrifice. But when I left my mom I met my grandma’s arms. One day I told my grandmother that sometimes I have nightmares, I saw dreams that terrify me and I awoke crying. My grandmother told me: „Before you go to bed make the sign of the cross on you and pray: Jesus watch over me. And do not forget to make the sign of the cross on your pillow before you go to sleep. If you do this your nightmares will disappear.”
I do not remember if after that I did have or not nightmares, but I keep the advice of my grandma. I have learnt more other prayers, but I always wispered the powerful „Jesus watch over me”.
And the time went on and during the military stage I made the sign of the cross and prayed: Jesus watches over me. I didn’t think that time that I need to be grown-up and leave my childish habit. I thought only that I need this prayer to feel myself safe because the military stage was hard and my father died during that time.
After that I went to the seminary. We slept in a „stable” (the dormitory was made from a former stable for horses), all the first year slept in this big room. I saw that the others do not made the sign of the cross on their pillow. I didn’t understand why, because my grandmothers advice have been saved me so many times from the nightmares.
Maybe from pedagogycal point of view this short prayer is not satisfying but I think we need to pray it many many times. Jesus watches over me.
Lord please watches over so many hurted child. Watches them and fill their heart with love, because their homes are empty and cold...Lord watches our selfish hearts and help us to step on. The fear is destroying our communities, our economy.
We should make many many times the sign of the cross on our eyes, on our thoughts, because when our fears and anger are leading us.
Dear Benefactors!
Thank you for being present with your love in the life of our children. You are present in their lives as my grandmother was in my life. Your hands with your donations are as my grandmom’s cross on the wall, upon my head that saw sometimes bad dreams.
Thank you for taking care of the children’s formation to life and for helpinfg them to love healthy in their coming adult life.
