On Monday 8th of February we held our Open Evening at the Red Store. President Karen welcomed Rotarians and guests. Former President Dorothey outlined the work of Rotary. Former President David outlined the Youth Leadership Scheme. Mary Boylan explainied the selection process for the Youth Leadership Scheme and congratulated the students who participated. the students were then presented with certificates and tokens.

Former President Peter gave an overview of funds allocated to particular projects in Youghal, and internationally.

Rotarian Scholar Kathy Hamilton from Chicago spke about her role, her year as a Rotarian Scholar and her plans for the future.

President Karen then presented a number of cheques to groups who were to receive funds resulting from ourCchristmas Tree and Christmas Concert. She also welcomed two new members and invited others who were contemplating joining Rotary to take the next step.

President KAren also encouraged people to support the forthcoming Bowl for Haiti Night on Friday 26th February.
